01How to cancel (including during the trial)
Email contact.mxmanagement@gmail.com from the address on your subscription with the words "cancel my subscription". That is enough — you do not need to give a reason, and we will not put you through a retention conversation.
We confirm every cancellation by email, usually the same day and always within one business day. Keep that confirmation. If you do not receive one within a business day, assume it did not reach us and email again.
You can also cancel from the receipt Stripe sent you for any charge, using the "manage subscription" link in that email.
02What happens when you cancel
- No further payment is taken.
- Your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
- At the end of that period the licence key stops working and the app stops running.
- Everything on your machine stays on your machine. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for you to export from us — but you should take your own copies of anything you want before access ends.
03The 14-day money-back window
If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, we refund that payment in full. No conditions about how much you used it, and no restocking fee. Just ask. This runs on top of the 48-hour trial: if the trial converted and you decide within two weeks that Jin is not for you, you still get that first month back.
This applies once per customer, to your first subscription. It does not reopen if you cancel, resubscribe, and cancel again.
04Your statutory right of withdrawal
If you buy as a consumer in the EU, the law gives you 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital services that start immediately, that right normally ends the moment the service begins, once you have expressly asked for it to start and acknowledged the consequence — which is what happens when you install and activate Jin.
If you would rather use the formal route, write to us within 14 days of your purchase saying you withdraw from the contract. A model withdrawal form is not required; a clear statement is enough. We will refund within 14 days of receiving it.
Business customers do not have a statutory right of withdrawal, but the 14-day money-back window in section 3 applies to them too.
05Refunds outside the 14 days
Monthly subscriptions are not refunded pro rata for a month already begun — cancelling stops the next charge. Two exceptions, and we apply them without argument:
- We charged you in error — a duplicate charge, a charge after you cancelled, or the wrong amount. Refunded in full, always.
- The software did not work and we could not fix it. If a defect on our side stopped you using Jin for a meaningful part of a billing period and our support could not resolve it, we refund that period.
We also refund the unused part of the current period if we withdraw a feature you subscribed for and cannot offer an equivalent, as set out in the Terms.
06Extra seats and plan changes
Upgrading takes effect immediately; Stripe charges the difference for the remainder of the current period. Downgrading takes effect at the start of your next period, so you keep what you paid for until then — we do not refund the difference for the current month.
Removing a seat from a Business plan follows the same rule: it applies from the next period.
07Custom builds
Custom builds are one-off engagements agreed in a written proposal, and the 14-day window above does not apply to them. The proposal states the deposit, the milestones, and the cancellation terms for that project. As a rule: the deposit is non-refundable once work has started, and work already delivered is payable.
08How a refund is paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe — we cannot pay to a different card or a bank account. We issue the refund within 5 business days of agreeing it; your bank then typically takes a further 5 to 10 business days to show it, which is outside our control.
You will receive a credit note by email for every refund.
09Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it over several days and emails you each time. If it has not succeeded after those retries, the subscription is suspended and the app stops working until payment is made. You are not charged a fee for a failed payment, and you can cancel instead of paying.
10Billing questions and disputes
For anything about a charge, email contact.mxmanagement@gmail.com with the date and amount, and the invoice or transaction ID from your Stripe receipt. We answer billing email within one business day.
